I came across a digital image that really makes me question what I or other people actually "see" when they look at things.
Take a look at the photo on this page and I expect that you'll "see" a slightly Photoshopped image of Albert Einstein.

Now walk across the room and look at your computer monitor. I expect that you'll "see" a photo of Marilyn Monroe.
Who ever would think that a person could look at Albert Einstein and "see" Marilyn Monore and vice versa? How could one image ever be that confusing? It makes me wonder how much trust we should put in "eye-witness" testimony or even in controlling what we expect people to see and experience through our work as designers.
It's an interesting experiment in how the human mind works.
