Home > Rick’s Blog > Sheen & Lohan vs. U.S. Politics
I was in meeting this morning with a group of really smart business people. For some reason, the topic turned to Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan.
I have no idea how that could have happened.
Oh, yeah... We were discussing how people outside of the United States have a better understanding of what's actually going on in Washington DC than the citizens/residents of the U.S. do.
We determined that people around the world care much more about U.S. politics than they do about the latest on the ever-downward spiraling lives of Charlie Sheen or Lindsey Lohan.
Thank God, I think that's true.
Last weekend, I blew the dust off my old "Cast Away" DVD – a great movie starring Tom Hanks and a volleyball named "Wilson". Remember that one? Anyway, I thought about how Tom Hanks' character was marooned on that island in the middle of nowhere for four years with no one else in the world knowing whether he were alive or dead.
Is anyone interested in shooting a remake of "Cast Away" starring Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan? Let's make it a reality series...
My thanks (and condolenses) to the photographers who shot the included photos and to the entertainment "journalists" who think we should care about their stories.
